JOB TITLE

Board Certified Behavior Analyst Position :

full time; part-time; contracted Board Certified Behavior Analyst works directly under the supervision of the designated Director of Children & Youth Services that oversees the primary revenue source (Waiver, Birth to 3, private insurance, school contracts, Medicaid)

Essential Functions:

Work as a BCBA aligning professional code of ethics with Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services policies and procedures. Complete required assessments per revenue source to ensure therapeutic goals are appropriate for functional level of the consumers served. Development of assessment-based individualized applied behavior analysis intervention curriculum and goals. Directly supervise curriculum-based direct instructional programs, behavior intervention plans, transition plans from homebound to school environment, home-based interventions, and/or community-based (social) intervention for consumers in Our designated programs. Provide direct services to consumers at assigned designated sites through implementation of treatment/care plans; schedules; community generalization; data analysis; advancement of targets within treatment/care plan objectives; written procedures and protocols; adhere to fidelity of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; development of grading period or therapeutic summary progress reports. Clinical supervision of RBTs assigned to caseloads. Complete required BACB supervision paperwork Ensure all required BACB paperwork to maintain credentialing to the BCBA are recorded and filed in designated company location. Serve as first line of communication with parents of client's assigned to their caseload. BCBA assigned to school sites will adhere to a cooperative service delivery model between student's services, teacher/school administration expectations and parent expectations. BCBA will adhere to all Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services personnel policies. BCBA's assigned to contracted sites will adhere to all county school board dress codes, cell phone policy and confidentiality policies. Travel to and from contracted sites and home-based therapy sites is required if applicable to caseload. Familiarize oneself with medical billing codes used for implementation of ABA therapy services through private insurance and Medicaid in WV. Other duties entailed for implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy services outlined by consumer or Director.

Expectations and Design:

Program supervision duties could be in-home, clinic, or school environments. Placement and availability of service is based on contracted services, clinic hours of operation, parent (consumer) service needs. Schedules and placement can and will vary depending on service need. For school contract sites, BCBA must remain on site location. Lunch is to occur on-site. BCBA must conduct themselves in a professional manner in accordance with Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services (DATS) personnel policies and code of ethics, as well as the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's ethical code of conduct for BCBA's. BCBA's must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Responsibilities in all sites entail a BCBA to be sensitive to the needs of families, teachers, and outside agencies for collaborative, person-centered service delivery model. Medicaid caseloads assigned to BCBA's will conduct functional behavior assessments; reinforcement inventories; assist in writing of behavior intervention plans; data analysis; monthly/quarterly summary reports; attend meetings; supervisor assigned to consumer; development of program manipulatives; provide direct therapy; and communicate with Support Team with program progress. BCBA assigned to contracted school sites will attend IEP meetings; provide direct therapy; collaborate services with teaching staff at site; data analysis; writing of midterm and end of month progress reports per contract; develop manipulatives for program implementation; and assist in writing of present levels of performance for an IEP. Travel for completion of job responsibilities is required to home or school-based sites. Travel will also occur for implementation of community-based social skills and/or generalization treatment goals.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

Must hold a current active BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and be in good standing status or be eligible to take the BACB exam. Comply/maintain certification through continuing education requirements from the BACB Must complete BACB supervision certification for supervision of RBT/ABA Technicians. CPR/first aid certification Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Annual Licensed Behavior Health training requirements: Abuse/Neglect, HIPPA and Client Rights Client specific training as needed (Diagnosis, medical history, social history, etc.). Completion of various courses assigned by supervising BCBA relative to the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (to be done initially and in an ongoing manner based on client needs).
