We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biomedical Field Service Technician based out of our Brea, California office to service equipment at our facility as well as provide on-site service to our customers in and around Southern California and some out-of-state customers. Job Description The technician will perform maintenance inspections, overhauls, repairs, and calibration on a wide range of respiratory equipment devices such as intensive care ventilators and Bipaps. Utilize specialized test equipment such as ventilator testers, calibration software, test lungs with patient circuits and oxygen analyzers. Provide customers with detailed professionally written service reports utilizing our web-based equipment management system. Ability and willingness to travel to customers' location and provide on-site service. Some out-of-state and overnight stays may be required. Qualifications Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, military training, or other hands-on electronics education required. 2 Years prior hospital or Biomedical field repair experience required. Must possess a reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance. Must have excellent customer service related skills and experience handling customer complaints and the ability to communicate well verbally. Professional, self-driven attitude and be reliable, trustworthy and detail oriented. Ability to learn and function in a fast-paced environment & under pressure with little supervision. Other Requirements Must pass a background check and have a good driving record (our insurance company will run an MVR annually) Annual background checks, required to pass GHX Vendormate hospital credentialing. Must have a reliable vehicle to travel locally (within Southern California). The company will pay for auto mileage and travel. All travel expenses are 100% paid by the company. Company will provide technical training on respiratory equipment, provide tools and all test equipment necessary to perform job duties.
