We are seeking a skilled and experienced Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining mobility equipment, including scooters, power chairs, manual wheelchairs, and other related devices. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive reliable, safe, and fully functional equipment tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain durable medical equipment, including scooters, power chairs, manual wheelchairs, and other mobility devices. Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment is operating at optimal performance. Customize mobility equipment to meet the specific needs of clients, particularly veterans. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and usage to clients in a clear and professional manner. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service provided. Ensure compliance with all company, and federal and state safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and installations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in repairing and maintaining durable medical equipment. Knowledge of mobility equipment brands such as Permobil, Harmar, Golden Technologies, Pride Mobility, and others. Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues related to mobility devices. Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations within Northern California. Certification or training in DME repair is a plus.
