4:30 Job Summary The Echo/Vascular Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging procedures to evaluate the structure and function of the heart and vascular system.
This role supports patient care across multiple departments, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results that aid in patient treatment planning. Essential Functions Performs echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures, following protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging. Operates ultrasound equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring functionality for optimal use in patient assessments. Conducts preliminary evaluations and records findings, providing comprehensive data for physician interpretation. Collaborates with healthcare providers across departments, facilitating the coordination of patient care and timely delivery of diagnostic results. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures, adhering to age-specific care considerations and maintaining a respectful approach. Documents procedures and findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring compliance with department standards and regulatory requirements. Assists in scheduling, preparing, and positioning patients for imaging, ensuring proper patient identification and verification of orders. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications 0-1 years of experience in echocardiography and/or vascular imaging required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic understanding of echocardiography and vascular imaging techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff. Ability to handle imaging equipment safely and accurately. Good organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care. Proficiency in using EMR systems and diagnostic imaging software. Licenses and Certifications RDCS
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer required or RVT
Registered Vascular Technologist required BCLS
Basic Life Support required This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
