IMC is currently looking to hire a Special Procedures Tech , in our Cath Lab, full time. This position performs scrub and radiographic duties for procedures including cardiac catheterizations, peripheral angiography, clot retrieval, pacer implant/explant and more. Responsibilities include all x-ray equipment, cardiac cath equipment, implementation of patient charges and proper preparation of the patient and lab prior to the procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of Radiologic program, which is accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiology Technology Education (JRCRTE). Valid Louisiana State License Previous experience preferred, but not required

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform prescribed specialized radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation as directed by provider, organizational policies, procedures and protocols Operates all radiographic equipment in Cath Lab at a technical level under the direction of a cardiologist. Set up procedural tray and scrub for all Cath Lab cases and performs scrub assist role during invasive procedures Assist with preparation and transport of patient to and from
