Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assist MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and/or EP procedures 2. Prepares and drapes patients for the process, responds to their questions alleviating any concerns regarding the procedure, and ensures patient comfort. 3. Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system. 4. Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure, including electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain. 5. Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and all necessary calculations for physician's interpretation of results. 6. Balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data as well as intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies. 7. Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned. 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Professional Certification (BLS) 3.
RCIS/RCES
(within one year of hire with completion of an accredited CVT program) OR Licensed RT (ARRT certification) with invasive experience
Preferred:
1. Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in health science or related field 2. ACLS
