1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and 1+ years of cardiac cath lab experience to support IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro procedures. Details Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab unit Support Special Procedures including IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties Average daily caseload of 15 per department Top procedures include structural heart (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman), IR, Neuro, vascular, cardiac, and EP cases Uses Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips and Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave equipment Any electronic charting system used 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Weeknight and weekend call required, including 8 call days within a 4-week period One call weekend (Friday-Monday) every 3-5 weeks with 24-hour on-call coverage Saturday and Sunday 2-hour call back minimum May float within scope within the cath lab unit only Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience required ARRT (R) certification required BLS and ACLS certification required State license required if applicable Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations Skilled in cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, and rotablator atherectomy Proficient in left and right heart catheterization and cardiac implant closure devices Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias Experience scrubbing and maintaining sterile field Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique Additional Information Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulating, and scrub duties maintaining a sterile field First-time travelers accepted Facility attempts to accommodate consistent block scheduling 7 days RTO restriction Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
