Position located at True Sport Care | Nesconset, New York Sports Chiropractor Part-Time (20 hrs/week) with a clear path to full-time City Integrative Rehabilitation is a multi-location chiropractic and rehabilitation group serving the New York metro area. We are hiring a sports chiropractor for True Sport Care, our thriving sports rehabilitation clinic in Nesconset. Our patients are active — athletes, weekend warriors, and working people who want to get back to doing what they do. We are opening a new book of service at this location and looking for a chiropractor who practices sports medicine, not just spinal care. This is a hands-on, one-on-one clinical role. You will manage your own patients from evaluation through discharge, treating the spine and the extremities, and combining manual care with active rehabilitation. If your practice model is high-volume adjusting, this is not the right fit. Schedule Tuesday 11:00 AM
4:00 PM Thursday 1:00 PM
6:00 PM Friday 8:00 AM
1:00 PM Saturday 8:00 AM
1:00 PM Weekly total 20 hrs These are the hours for this role.
As the schedule fills, hours expand — see "Growth" below. What You'll Do Evaluate, diagnose, and manage musculoskeletal sports injuries — spinal and extremity. Deliver one-on-one, doctor-led care. Build and progress active rehabilitation programs: corrective exercise, loading progressions, return-to-sport criteria. Use manual therapy, chiropractic manipulation, soft tissue work, and the clinic's advanced modalities as indicated. Communicate clearly with patients about diagnosis, plan of care, expected timeline, and home program. Complete your own documentation. Notes are finished the day of service. Coordinate with referring providers, coaches, and trainers when appropriate. Documentation, Coding, and Billing We have a dedicated billing team. What we need from you is clean, complete, defensible clinical documentation and accurate charge capture. Write thorough SOAP notes that support medical necessity and stand up to payer review. Select correct CPT and ICD-10 codes for the services you personally perform, including timed therapeutic codes and applicable modifiers. Understand the difference between passive and active care documentation, and document functional progress over time. Close your encounters and submit charges promptly so claims go out clean the first time. Write clinical appeals and letters of medical necessity when our billing team requests them, and respond promptly to documentation requests. Our billing team handles claim submission, follow-up, and accounts receivable. Anything that requires clinical judgment — appeals, letters of medical necessity, records requests — comes back to you. You are responsible for giving them accurate information to work with, in a timely manner. What We're Looking For Licensure. Active New York State chiropractic license (or license-eligible with credentialing in process). Malpractice insurance. You must carry and maintain your own professional liability coverage. Experience. A few years of clinical experience managing sports injuries. We want someone who has already built plans of care independently, not someone learning to do it for the first time. Extremity competence. Comfortable and confident treating shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, elbows, and feet — not just the spine. Rehabilitation. Genuine rehab skills. You program exercise, you coach movement, and you progress load. Manual care alone is not the model here. Documentation discipline. Demonstrated command of SOAP documentation, coding, and medical necessity. Insurance participation. You must be out-of-network with all major health insurance plans, or willing to terminate participation. In-network participation with Northwell Direct is required — current participation preferred, or willingness to enroll. No-fault / workers' comp. Experience with no-fault and workers' compensation documentation and billing requirements is a strong plus. Nice to have. Sports-specific credentials (CCSP, DACBSP, CSCS), certification in a recognized rehabilitation system such as DNS, SFMA, or McKenzie, dry needling certification, or team/event coverage experience. Personal fit. Self-directed, reliable, and able to grow a schedule. Patients stay because of how they're treated — you'll be a significant part of that. Growth This role starts part-time because the schedule is new. It is not designed to stay part-time. As your patient volume grows, your hours grow with it — additional days, expanded blocks, and a full-time schedule for the right provider. There is substantial room to grow here, and we will be direct with you about the numbers and what it takes to get there. Because this position sits within a multi-location group, there is also room to develop clinically and professionally beyond a single schedule. Compensation $50 per hour to start, with significant room to grow as your schedule and patient volume build. How to Apply Send your CV and a short note about your clinical approach to sports injury management to info@cityintegrativerehab.com. Please include your availability against the schedule above.
