I.MOVE. Health and Performance

Sports Chiropractor - Clinical Director Track

Job Description

Read this part first. If what you want is to treat patients for the next thirty years and go home, this is not the right role. That's a good career and we respect it. It just isn't this job. We are hiring a clinician who wants to eventually run a clinic. Treating patients is how you start here. It is not the ceiling, and it is not the end. I.MOVE. is opening additional locations across the Portland/Vancouver area over the coming years. Every one of those clinics will need a director who can deliver excellent care, develop other clinicians, and own the results. We would far rather promote that person than recruit them. Your path to that starts on day one. That's what this role is. The Path Stage 1 — Clinician.
Learn the model:
assessment, rehab programming, patient communication, retention, and outcomes. Weekly mentorship. Stage 2 — Lead Clinician. You start developing other doctors and taking ownership of a piece of the clinic's results, not just your own schedule. Stage 3 — Clinic / Clinical Director. You run a location. Team, quality standards, schedule utilization, growth, and the numbers that go with them. Stage 4 — Beyond. Multi-site leadership as the company grows. This is for those who want more, who want to put in the work, and who want to reap the benefits. The Upside Without the Downside Most clinicians who want more eventually conclude they have to open their own clinic. Every single one of them tells me it's because they can't find a job or a career they want. We are here to change that. We create the jobs that clinicians start their own practices for.
Opening your own means:
A personal guarantee on a lease A build-out Startup capital Payroll you have to make before you pay yourself Two to three years of learning marketing and hiring the expensive way Doing it here means: Running a location you didn't have to fund Performance-based compensation tied to how that location actually does Learning the business side (P&L, patient acquisition, conversion, hiring, retention) from inside a company that is already doing it Working with someone who has already made the mistakes You get the growth, the responsibility, and a direct financial stake in the result, without putting your house or your savings behind it. Director-level compensation is tied to the performance of the location you lead. What Treatment Actually Looks Like Our philosophy is simple: fix the root of the problem, teach the patient how to keep it from coming back, and help them reach their health and fitness goals. No rushed visits, no passive treatments, no assistants. Every patient gets 60 focused minutes: manual therapy, adjustments, rehab and strength training, and education built around long-term outcomes. The patients. CrossFit athletes, lifters, runners, golfers, and successful professionals who refuse to slow down because of pain or injury. They take ownership of their health, follow through on rehab, and respect your expertise. We are 100% cash-based, which means no authorizations, no visit caps, and no notes written for a payer instead of a patient. The people in front of you chose to be there and are invested in the outcome. The schedule. 60 minutes per patient, every time. Expect 28-35 treatment hours per week, plus 5-10 hours for mentorship, training, planning, and improving patient outcomes. That protected time is deliberate. It's where clinicians turn into leaders. Leverage here comes from building a team and a system, not from stacking more treatment hours onto your week. Mentorship and team. Ongoing mentorship in clinical decision-making, rehab programming, patient communication, and professional development through paid weekly trainings. We're building a team that collaborates, challenges each other, and holds each other to a high standard. Our clinical approach. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), strength training and rehab principles, Functional Movement Systems, and neurodynamics. We work closely with gyms, coaches, and referral partners throughout the community, many of whom are both patients and referral sources. Is This You?
This role fits someone who:
Wants a career of growth and opportunity, not 30 years of 40 patient hours a week without growth Is genuinely excited about running a clinic, developing people, and owning results, not just treating Wants to understand the business, not just the clinical work Wants a real financial stake in what they build, and is willing to earn it before they get it Wants to work with active adults and athletes who do the work Thrives with high standards, clear metrics, and direct accountability Solves problems instead of escalating them Loves learning and is honest about what they don't know yet Displays and strives for clinical excellence in every visit New graduates are welcome. We care far more about mindset, work ethic, and character than years of experience. Ambition without follow-through is not what we're looking for. Ambition backed by work ethic is exactly it. Requirements Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Oregon license, or eligible to be licensed before your start date Compensation and Benefits $75,000-$100,000 per year, performance-based Performance-based compensation attached to leadership roles as you grow into them 3 weeks paid time off
