This position supports key initiatives such as Medicare Risk Adjustment (MRA), Quality Improvement (QI), Utilization Management (UM), and Care Coordination. You'll collaborate across departments to perform audits, support accurate billing practices, and drive quality measure completion, with a direct impact on patient care outcomes and practice performance. What You'll Do Conduct audits of medical documentation, coding, billing, and quality data across practices Ensure compliance with the latest CMS guidelines, ICD-10/CPT standards, and quality frameworks (e.g., HEDIS, STAR, PQRS) Query providers for coding specificity and assist with maintaining chronic condition lists Lead and support quality initiatives by working closely with providers and clinical teams to capture performance data Provide education and training on coding best practices to both clinical and administrative staff Analyze utilization trends and offer insights to inform operational decisions Serve as a subject matter expert for coding, documentation, billing, and care management What You Bring Certification in ICD-10 coding (CPC or CSSP preferred) 1-2 years of hands-on coding experience; MRA knowledge strongly preferred Ability to pass a coding proficiency test if not already certified Solid knowledge of care management, clinical workflows, and healthcare quality metrics Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and travel locally as needed Technical Skills Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel, email platforms, EHR systems, and payer websites Familiarity with

ICD-10, CPT, QP

measures, and CMS billing guidelines Work Environment & Physical Requirements Moderate noise level typical of office settings Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and arms Local travel is required
