Responsibilities:

Handle insurance authorization process for hospital or medical proceduresWork with physicians and other healthcare providers to obtain correct documentation for insurance authorizationsEnsure compliance with insurance company requirements and healthcare laws and regulationsCommunicate with insurance companies on behalf of the patient and the healthcare providerMaintain up-to-date knowledge of medical procedures, healthcare codes, and insurance policiesAssist physicians in determining the necessity of procedures based on health plan coverage
