In this vital role, you will support the accurate and efficient handling of medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and facilitating seamless communication within the clinical environment. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help uphold the integrity of patient information, contributing to high-quality care delivery and operational excellence. Responsibilities Request medical records, medical bills, itemized statements, and related documentation from healthcare providers and facilities. Prepare and submit medical record requests, authorizations, and supporting documentation. Follow up with providers regarding outstanding or delayed requests. Track all medical record requests and maintain accurate status updates. Monitor outstanding requests and escalate issues when records cannot be obtained timely. Review received records for completeness and ensure requested documents have been provided. Upload and organize medical records and billing documents into the firm's case management system. Properly label and organize records according to firm procedures. Communicate with medical providers, medical record departments, hospitals, clinics, and third-party record vendors. Maintain detailed logs of requests, follow-ups, records received, and outstanding items. Assist case managers and paralegals with identifying missing medical records and treatment information. Ensure records are obtained in accordance with applicable deadlines and case needs. Maintain strict confidentiality of client medical and personal information. Perform additional administrative duties related to medical records as needed. Qualifications 1+ year of experience requesting medical records preferred. Personal injury law firm experience strongly preferred. Experience communicating with medical providers and medical records departments. Knowledge of medical record and billing request procedures. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage a high volume of requests and multiple deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software. Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential client information appropriately.

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
