The Group Facilitator is responsible for planning, guiding, and managing group and family therapy to ensure that all objectives are met effectively. The facilitator's duties also involve selecting appropriate methods and tools that will enable participants to achieve results, reach decisions, and accomplish goals during treatment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to-
Facilitate individuals and families within a group towards establishing goals and finding objective ways to achieve them.
Willing to provide group therapy at all levels of care as needed
Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of documentation that meets all applicable standards in Kipu based on daily log
Ability to utilize electronic health record system to input all clinical documentation
Attend and participate in treatment team meetings on a weekly basis to ensure quality of care for clients when appropriate
Consult daily with Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director for an update on client needs, special incidents, transfers, etc.
Attend staff development and general staff meetings
Attend staff and clinical trainings
Participate in and attend supervision/consultation with clinical management team as necessary
Collaborates with members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure effective delivery of a full spectrum of clinical services
Offer Case Management services, as appropriate
Comply with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations
Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate
Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences
Abide by College Recovery code of ethics and model values
Must be comfortable working with group dynamics while managing the meeting or activity process.
Must possess assertive attitude when it comes to talking to a group and changing their way of thinking and promoting a change of behavior.
Must be able to communicate with clients and staff members through various forms of communication, including email, phone and text
Computer literacy is required. Must be able to use Word, Excel, etc. Experience on Kipu is a plus
Masters in Clinical Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology or related field The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
