Vascular / Peripheral Arterial Disease / Office-Based Lab About the Opportunity We are an established and growing vascular practice seeking an experienced Office-Based Lab (OBL) Consultant/Project Lead to assist with the development and launch of an arterial vascular OBL in Arizona. Our organization currently performs minimally invasive venous procedures and is expanding into peripheral arterial interventions , including diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, atherectomy and peripheral arterial stenting. We are looking for someone who has direct, hands-on experience opening and/or operating a vascular OBL and can guide our leadership team from initial planning through regulatory readiness and successful launch. Responsibilities The consultant will help oversee and coordinate: Arizona OBL regulatory and compliance requirements Facility classification and licensing requirements Medicare and payer readiness Accreditation requirements, when applicable Facility design and procedural workflow Fluoroscopy and radiation compliance Equipment selection and implementation Procedure-room development Recovery-area development Emergency preparedness and hospital-transfer protocols Clinical policies and procedures Staff credentialing and competency requirements Infection-control standards Medication and emergency equipment requirements Vascular device and supply planning Procedure inventory management Vendor coordination Documentation requirements Billing and revenue-cycle readiness Mock inspections and regulatory readiness Staff training Go-live preparation Procedures Planned The OBL is expected to perform procedures including: Peripheral angiography Angioplasty Atherectomy Peripheral arterial stent placement IVUS Venography Other peripheral vascular interventions as appropriate Ideal Candidate We are specifically seeking someone with: Previous experience successfully opening a vascular OBL Strong knowledge of peripheral arterial interventions Arizona healthcare regulatory knowledge preferred Experience with CMS/Medicare requirements Knowledge of fluoroscopy/radiation compliance Experience with OBL accreditation and survey preparation Understanding of vascular coding, billing and reimbursement Experience developing policies, procedures and emergency protocols Knowledge of vascular equipment, devices and vendors Strong project-management skills Ability to work directly with physicians, executives, clinical leadership, RCM, credentialing and vendors Strongly Preferred Experience launching an OBL performing angiography, angioplasty, atherectomy and peripheral arterial stenting . What We're Looking For We don't simply need someone who has worked in an OBL. We are looking for someone who understands how to build one correctly from the ground up and can identify what needs to happen, who needs to be involved, what regulatory requirements must be satisfied, and what needs to be completed before the first patient is treated. This individual will work closely with executive leadership and our clinical team throughout the development process. Please include specific OBLs you have helped develop/open, your role in each project, the states in which you have OBL experience, and the types of vascular procedures performed at those facilities.
Pay:
$80.00 - $100.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 15.0 per week
