Full Job Description Base Pay:
; $25.00 - $36.40 JOB SUMMARY The Training Specialist's role will be a multi-disciplinary, multi-functional one. They will deliver training to different employee types across all departments. This will include, but is not limited to Clinicians, Medical Scribes, Visit Coordinators and Call Center Representatives at SCHC. They will participate in the onboarding and Electronic Health Record training of agreed upon staff, as well as coordinate their training with that of the other members of the training department. Their role will also include communication of workflows, systems, and standard operating procedures to staff regarding any EHR updates, upgrades, or changes. Duties will also include identification of technical training needs, development and maintaining of training plans in support of organizational strategic operation objectives; create training presentations, training materials and job aids; conducting training/presentations to groups or one-on-one, as well as provide feedback to trainees to better enhance technical performance. This position will require an in-depth understanding of specific job duties across multiple roles at SCHC, as well as retaining expert knowledge of the EHR system at
SCHC. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide EHR Training to SCHC Clinicians, Medical Scribes, Visit Coordinators and Call Center Reps. Coordinates training with other members of the training team to ensure consistency and organization throughout the clinic. Provide ongoing support for clinical and support staff with upgrades and changes to NextGen. Ongoing EHR performance evaluations and assessments of designated staff. Communicate the plan for each program in such a way as to encourage and foster participation, involvement, and cooperation of all employees Utilize a variety of software programs; including Camtasia, Microsoft Office Suite, Captivate, Snag It, Visio, etc. to develop training programs based on identified needs Operations Represent the Training Department in committee meetings and other clinical departments Act as a liaison between Informatics and staff to deliver messages of EHR changes, updates, and upgrades. As well as any adjustments to current workflows. Work in collaboration with Administration and Senior Management on training and updates to policies and procedures as it relates to EHR Training. Work with Informatics and the CIO to monitor error reports. Responsible for presenting updates, upgrades or EHR changes to staff at monthly meetings or department specific meetings. Administrative Maintain a relationship with the CIO and Director of Quality Improvement to ensure that records contain necessary documentation for meeting quality measures. Performs other duties/projects as requested by the COO and CIO to support the general success of the clinic. Attend department/center-wide meetings as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to work within a time frame and under pressure. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and PowerPoint, Snagit (or other editing software), Camtasia (or other video creation software). Excellent computer skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing. Understand the importance of confidentiality. Typing 50 WPM or greater.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in related field or 3+ years of experience working in a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare with training opportunities. NextGen Certified Professional.
