Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Systems Analyst (CSA) builds, tests, implements, and supports the EHR, including release upgrades, system optimizations, and process improvement activities. This position provides support for new initiatives and maintains systems to enhance patient care, increase operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance. The Clinical Systems Analyst participates in work groups to identify and employ technical and application initiatives for best practices and enhanced healthcare operations in alignment with organizational objectives, works collaboratively with organizational teams, committees, and groups, and provides hands-on training as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates initiative and responsibility to develop personal, leadership, and professional goals and objectives and determines methods to achieve those goals. Demonstrates the ability to learn new technologies and provide support. Participates on assigned teams, committees, and work groups. Maintains awareness of verbal and non-verbal communication in interactions with associates, departments, customers, physicians, and patients. Collaborates and communicates effectively and positively. Demonstrates empathy and understanding in the communication of issues. Documents projects, functions, processes, procedures, and meetings. Communicates with vendors regarding service requests, enhancement requests, and troubleshooting assistance. Analyzes processes, systems, and workflows and effectively plans work tasks and strategies. Serves as a subject matter expert for supported applications. Monitors supported applications for efficient utilization and alerts. Provides education and training related to supported applications and maintains current educational materials. Demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills. Performs responsibilities independently with minimal direct supervision. Maintains awareness of current and emerging trends in information systems and computer technology. Understands, promotes, and follows security protocols. Utilizes thorough testing methods when validating software functionality. Participates in a rotating on-call schedule. Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work is performed in an office and healthcare environment utilizing computer systems and related technology. Must be able to move or position up to 25 pounds independently. Must be able to work in high-stress situations with frequent interruptions. Travel may be required to organizational locations as needed.
CONTACTS WITH OTHERS
Frequent interaction with associates, contracted support staff, vendors, physicians, and representatives of other healthcare organizations. Communication may occur through telephone calls, meetings, email, chat platforms, virtual meetings, and other communication methods necessary to support organizational operations.
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of clinical information systems. Proficiency with personal computers, laptops, virtual desktops, tablets, and related hardware and software. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Bachelor's Degree preferred in a medical, information systems, or related field.
