The Clinical Informatics Systems Analyst Senior is responsible for the operation, administration, support, and optimization of clinical information systems. This role collaborates with clinical and technical teams to improve workflows, enhance clinical applications, and support both acute and non-acute care systems across a large, multi-regional healthcare organization.
The position provides medium- to high-complexity application support, manages incidents, changes, and problems using ITIL processes, and requires extensive healthcare systems knowledge. The analyst works independently with minimal supervision and is an exempt position.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Informatics & CollaborationCollaborate with Clinical Informatics teams across the enterprise to achieve strategic departmental and organizational goals.
Promote standardized best-practice workflows and clinical content across ministries to improve efficiency and patient safety.
Partner with technical teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related application issues.
Build strong relationships with leadership and departments including:
Information ServicesQualityCase ManagementRevenue CycleFinanceClinical Application SupportDevelop, test, implement, support, and maintain clinical applications.
Provide ongoing support for upgrades, enhancements, and new software releases.
Prioritize, coordinate, and implement application updates and requested changes.
Troubleshoot application issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
Support end users during system downtime and workflow changes.
Ensure compliance issues are identified, documented, and escalated appropriately.
Workflow Analysis & System ImprovementAnalyze clinical workflows and business processes.
Evaluate data collection methods and reporting requirements.
Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements gathering.
Recommend cross-application improvements.
Design and configure solutions that meet complex clinical and operational requirements.
Testing & Quality AssuranceLead quality assurance and integrated testing initiatives.
Develop testing plans and manage testing projects.
Guide teams through complex testing processes.
Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet project objectives.
Project LeadershipIndependently manage medium to large-scale implementation projects.
Plan project activities proactively.
Coordinate team members and stakeholders.
Prepare organized project status reports.
Lead multidisciplinary initiatives.
Contribute to strategic planning by evaluating options and recommending solutions.

Education:
PreferredBachelor's degreeORFour (4) years of clinical or technical application experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
Preferred5-7 years of clinical information systems experience (or equivalent)2+ years of project management experience (or equivalent)
