Flexible within LindFast Solutions Group footprint, with preference of Blaine, MN, Elgin, IL, Greer, SC or Strongsville, OH Position Summary LindFast Solutions Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Lab Manager to lead fastener and materials testing activities across the One LSG quality organization. This role will oversee the people, methods, equipment, records, capacity, and technical integrity required to deliver reliable, traceable, and timely results. The Quality Lab Manager will connect laboratory expertise with Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, QMS, Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and customers. The manager will support proactive supplier qualifications and ongoing good-standing controls while expanding the lab's ability to provide accredited, value-added testing and technical services as a commercial laboratory function. As the Quality Lab Manager, you will: Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable laboratory personnel while building a collaborative One LSG culture centered on technical excellence, safety, operational efficiencies, responsiveness, and customer focus. Lead a team of Lab Supervisors across a multi-site lab network, establishing optimal lab throughput, operational priorities, verified testing methods, staffing requirements, continuous education needs, equipment utilization, & technical records. Lead fastener and materials testing activities, ensuring accurate and reliable chemical, mechanical, dimensional, coating, hydrogen embrittlement, and failure-analysis results. Ensure testing is performed to applicable industry requirements through ASTM, ASME, SAE, IFI, DIN, or other. Maintain the integrity and continued development of the ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory system, including procedures, competency, measurement traceability, proficiency activities, internal audits, corrective actions, and readiness for external assessments. Partner with Supplier Quality and Purchasing to establish risk-based qualification plans for new suppliers and products, verify material and process capability, support supplier audits, investigate failures, and use ongoing performance and testing data to keep approved suppliers in good standing. Provide rapid technical support for receiving inspection, PPAP, corrective action, customer complaints, root-cause investigations, supplier validation, product upgrades, and customer-specific acceptance requirements. Work directly with Sales and Customer Quality to scope customer needs, develop clear testing plans and quotations, communicate results, and grow the laboratory as a trusted commercial service that protects relationships and enables profitable business growth. Standardize methods and reporting across LSG, Metallurgent Test Lab, satellite, manufacturing, and partner-lab locations while identifying strategic investments that expand capacity and capability. What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years of laboratory testing and quality assurance testing experience is preferred
5+ years of relevant Fastener industry experience as an engineer, quality, or manufacturing operations preferred
3+ years of team leadership, with direct employee management experience is preferred.
Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/Quality Management Systems. What Success Looks Like
