1 Job Summary We are hiring an experienced Polysomnographic Technician (Polysomnographer) for a 13-week travel contract in Bossier City, LA . This opportunity is ideal for a Polysomnographic Technologist, Polysomnographic Technician, Sleep Technologist, RPSGT, or RRT-SDS with recent sleep-lab experience and strong technical skills in conducting and monitoring overnight sleep studies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently on 12-hour overnight shifts while providing safe, professional care to pediatric through geriatric patients . Key Responsibilities Perform and monitor overnight polysomnography (PSG) sleep studies . Prepare patients and explain sleep-study procedures. Apply and monitor EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory, SpO2, and other monitoring sensors . Monitor sleep stages, respiratory events, oxygen saturation, heart rate, and other physiological parameters. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in sleep and respiratory patterns. Perform CPAP and BiPAP titration according to established protocols. Perform PAP mask fitting and troubleshoot mask/interface issues. Troubleshoot electrodes, sensors, probes, cables, and sleep-monitoring equipment. Maintain accurate and complete patient and study documentation. Ensure high-quality sleep-study recordings throughout the night. Provide safe and professional care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Follow sleep-lab protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards. Work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining patient comfort and study integrity. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent Polysomnographic Technician/Technologist experience Previous travel experience required RPSGT or RRT-SDS certification required Active Louisiana state license required Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patients Experience with CPAP/BiPAP titration and PAP mask fitting Minimum 1 year of Meditech Expanse experience Strong understanding of polysomnography and physiological monitoring Strong equipment troubleshooting and technical skills Ability to work independently during overnight shifts Strong communication and patient-care skills Preferred Qualifications BLS certification Experience in a hospital-based sleep lab Experience with complex sleep studies Experience with pediatric polysomnography Experience with CPAP/BiPAP titration Experience with Alice Sleepwear G3 Experience with Nihon Kohden systems Schedule & Assignment Details 13-week contract Night shift: 6:45 PM-7:15 AM 36 guaranteed hours per week Schedule may alternate between 36 and 48 hours 1 position available Overnight sleep-lab assignment
