Medical Laboratory Technician/ Medical Technologist

Job Description

```Duties```
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist or laboratory manager
  • Collect and process specimens, such as blood samples, for analysis
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Prepare reagents and solutions used in testing
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Enter data into laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials ```Qualifications```
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology ( not medical assistant)
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
  • Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, including specimen collection processing and immunoassays
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Ability to phlebotomize and perform basic vital signs measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
