The Non-Clinical Educator assists in the planning, organization and execution of non-clinical education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology. The Non-Clinical Educator would work with personnel in the following roles; Patient Service Coordinator, Customer Service Reps.(Call Center), Insurance Verification, Eligibility Specialist and Referral Coordinators.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analytical and Critical Thinking
Performs administrative duties
Participates in the process of incorporating evidence based diagnoses and treatment guidelines into the care practices of the organization Teamwork
Collaborates with Operations/Medical Management to meet department/site needs
Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the organization's ability to meet its goals and objectives Communication
Facilitates new employee non-clinical orientation, routine competency training/validation, and ongoing education needs of non-clinical staff
Travels to various clinical sites routinely for continuous/ annual in-services and trainings
Demonstrates knowledge, skills, judgment, and ability to instruct non-clinical staff Willingness to Learn
Maintains ongoing knowledge and research of current trends and best practices
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations Problem Solving and Decision Making
Assists in identifying opportunities for improvement of clinical workflow and generates effective educational material and training Compliance, Policy, and Procedures
Develops policies and procedures in collaboration with Operations/Medical Management Integrity
Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge requirements pertaining to efficient non-clinical general operating workflows.
Must have very strong interpersonal skills and be highly effective in establishing relationships with key constituents, both within and outside the institution, professionally representing the institution;
Excellent discretion, judgment, tact, initiative, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Ability to anticipate and asses situations accurately and recommend/implement effective courses of action required.
Ability to work with clinicians and administrators to help building relationships that foster an effective/efficient work environment and helps to achieve optimal general operating levels in our clinical practice.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years; preferred minimum of eight (8) years in a Supervisory/Training role.
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
