Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Nurse Educator, where your leadership and clinical expertise will elevate resident care and staff development. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily nursing operations ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and fostering a culture of excellence. Duties Lead and supervise nursing staff across shifts, ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective workflow management. Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans tailored to residents' needs, including those requiring hospice or acute care services. Oversee documentation review for medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate resident assessments such as Minimum Data Set (MDS) evaluations and care planning. Manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure precise data entry and retrieval. Provide ongoing nurse education, training on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and documentation standards to enhance clinical skills. Ensure adherence to Medicare guidelines and state-specific licensing requirements while maintaining high standards of nursing administration and shift management. Skills Extensive experience in nursing homes with a strong understanding of hospice care, acute care, and home care operations. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in nurse management or nursing administration roles. Deep knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the regulatory landscape including HIPAA compliance. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation review, medical records management, and care plan updates. Strong understanding of Medicare policies, resident's rights, and documentation requirements for reimbursement purposes. Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff on clinical procedures and foster a team-oriented atmosphere. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently during shift changes while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and care coordination.
