Automotive Manufacturing Location:
Cookeville, TN Direct Hire | Full-Time Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a manufacturing company located in Cookeville, TN. This position will lead the plant's Quality and Environmental functions, oversee the Quality team, and ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
4+ years of experience in a Quality leadership/management position within manufacturing
Strong knowledge of IATF automotive quality standards
Experience with ISO/EN standards, KPIs, statistical quality methods, and environmental systems
Working knowledge of VDA Core Tools
Knowledge of customer-specific requirements and risk-based thinking
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-facing skills
Proficiency with standard computer applications
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the plant Quality team, ensuring effectiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement
Ensure implementation and ongoing compliance of the plant's Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) systems
Maintain and update quality documentation in accordance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout plant manufacturing processes
Monitor quality costs, identify trends, and establish corrective action plans as needed
Manage customer quality performance, including scorecards, B2B portals, complaints, and improvement initiatives
Serve as a primary quality contact for customers and support failure prevention and resolution activities
Develop control programs, quality reports, and quality approvals for new projects and launches
Support corrective actions, continuous improvement, and risk-reduction initiatives
Maintain authority to stop production or deliveries when quality requirements are not met
Represent Quality and Environmental functions on the Plant Committee
Conduct monthly OHSE walk-arounds and support plant-wide HSEQ initiatives
