Responsibilities Conduct community outreach initiatives to educate clients about health services, preventive care, and wellness programs. Develop and implement grassroots community organizing strategies to increase program participation and awareness. Collaborate with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners to coordinate services and resources effectively. Manage volunteer programs by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers to support outreach efforts. Lead public speaking engagements at community events, schools, and local gatherings to promote health initiatives. Collect data on community needs and program impact through surveys, interviews, and record keeping to inform ongoing improvements. Manage social media platforms and marketing materials to raise awareness about health programs and community events. Provide addiction counseling support when appropriate, guiding individuals toward recovery resources. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, program activities, and data collection efforts using organizational tools. Assist in fundraising activities by writing grant proposals or engaging potential donors to sustain community programs. Requirements Proven experience in volunteer management, social work, or community outreach roles with a focus on underserved populations. Supervising experience in team leadership or project management settings. Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently. Strong background in program development, project management, and grassroots organizing strategies. Experience with data collection methods and maintaining detailed records for program evaluation purposes. Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and public health practices is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities; bilingual skills are a significant plus. Demonstrated experience in youth programs teaching or social work within community settings. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for administrative tasks such as client communication and reporting. Technical proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, social media platforms, and data management tools. CPR certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required if not already certified.
