Hotline Advocate Turning Point of Lehigh Valley•3.0 Allentown, PA Job Details Part-time $21.50 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Paid training Health savings account Employee assistance program Qualifications Confidential information handling Full Job Description Position Overview Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is seeking compassionate and reliable Hotline Advocates to provide trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse. This is a remote, stipend-based position ideal for individuals seeking flexible, supplemental income while making a meaningful impact. Hotline Advocates remain on standby during assigned shifts and respond to hotline calls within 15 minutes. Advocates are paid a stipend for each shift plus hourly pay for time actively spent handling calls. Pay Structure $21.50 per hour for time actively worked on calls Stipend per shift: Monday-Thursday (8:00 PM•8:00 AM): $60 per shift Friday (8:00 PM•8:00 AM): $75 per shift

Holidays:
$75 per shift Advocates receive the stipend regardless of call volume and are paid hourly for any calls handled during the shift. Minimum Commitment At least six shifts per month are required to maintain active employment status. Key Responsibilities Answer hotline calls and provide crisis counseling, safety planning, and referrals Offer trauma-informed, empowerment-based support Document calls and demographic information accurately Assist callers with immediate needs such as hotel placement or transportation when appropriate Coordinate follow-up appointments with Client Advocates Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies and professional standards Training & Support 45 hours of paid New Advocate Training within the first month 10 hours of annual ongoing training Monthly supervision and team support Ideal Candidates This role is well-suited for individuals seeking additional income, including: Professionals with backgrounds in social services, counseling, healthcare, or advocacy Individuals passionate about supporting survivors in a flexible, remote setting Requirements Ability to work remotely in a private, confidential setting Reliable phone and internet access Strong communication and crisis response skills Willingness to complete required training and ongoing education To be considered, a cover letter and resume are required.
