Job Description

Seeking an individual to work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Primary responsibility is to insure the safety and well-being of residents and their children by providing trauma informed services.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist in providing coverage for a 24/7 crisis hotline. Provide crisis intervention and peer support to survivors, as well as providing information and referrals to resources. Maintain confidentiality Document all services provided to survivors during shifts. Provide updates to staff members during shift change. Contact on-call staff regarding crisis calls and emergency situations and request for accompaniment. Accept and document all donations.. Participate in training as required. Assist in the facility upkeep. Provide coverage for other shifts as needed. Required to work holidays. Weekend Shifts Saturdays and Sundays 8am-4pm-16 hours a week Other shifts for coverage available on an as needed basis Holidays required
Preferred:
Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, crisis intervention, social services, behavioral health, or related fields. Experience using multi-line phone systems. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Ability to work independently during overnight hours. Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations. Ability to commute to Seguin, TX 78155.
