We're a privately owned practice with a welcoming, family feel, a fun atmosphere, and a team that takes pride in caring for our patients. Our very first employee is still with us—a reflection of the lasting relationships we build. What you'll do Work alongside Dr. Schaefer to provide excellent orthodontic care, with duties performed within your authorized scope and under the required supervision: Assist with orthodontic adjustments, including archwire changes and ligation. Assist with placement and bonding of braces and clear-aligner attachments. Assist with delivery of orthodontic appliances and retainers. Take digital scans, dental X-rays and clinical photographs. Support observation visits, document clinical findings and communicate updates to the doctor. Explain appliance care, oral hygiene and treatment instructions to patients and parents. Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards. Help keep the clinical schedule running smoothly and support teammates throughout the day. What we're looking for An active California RDA license and applicable certifications; an Orthodontic Assistant permit is a plus. Orthodontic assisting experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills. A warm approach with children, teens and adults. Reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn. Someone who enjoys teamwork and wants to build a lasting role in our practice. Schedule Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. We see patients four days per week, including one Friday per month.
