Job Description
Overview Hello! We are looking for a fun, energetic, DA,RDA or OA to join our awesome team! State of the art orthodontic dental office, in which we believe in creating an exceptional experience for our patients. •OA/RDA compensation is based on certifications and years of experience in dental field, ability to perform Orthodontic Assisting tasks.
Orthodontic Assistant Responsibilities :

Records:
Must be able to take Panoramic/Cephalometric X-rays, Intra and Extra Oral Photos , Itero Scans.
Clinical/Chairside Assisting:
Prepared, Engaged, Anticipating:
Prepare treatment rooms and properly disinfect/operatories between patients. Seat patients, review the planned procedure, and prepare necessary instruments and materials. Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures and maintain efficient patient flow Prepare patients for bonding and debonding procedures. Assist with placement and removal of orthodontic appliances, brackets, bands, attachments, and auxiliaries within the assistant's permitted scope of practice. Change archwires, ties, power chains, elastomerics, and other orthodontic components as legally permitted and directed by the orthodontist. Fit and prepare bands, separators, and appliances for doctor evaluation and placement. Deliver retainers and removable appliances and provide instructions under doctor supervision. Provide patients and parents with instructions regarding oral hygiene, elastics, appliances, retainers, and orthodontic care. Identify broken brackets, loose bands, poking wires, appliance issues, and other concerns and communicate findings to the orthodontist.

Welcoming, engaged, informative chairside manner. Communication is informative, easily comprehendible, and can instruct patients in a calming approach. Always thinking and finding ways to improve on our patient experience!
Documentation/Charting:
Attention to detail charting of notes, patients concerns, follow correct charting formats, clear and concisely charting next visit plan .
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
