This modern two-provider practice is seeking an RDA who enjoys working with children and understands the patience, energy, and gentle communication required to create positive dental experiences for young patients. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment. Schedule Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
One Wednesday per month:
7:15 a.m.-5:00 p.m. for anesthesia cases Team members arrive approximately 30 minutes before the first patient Full-time, direct-hire position Compensation Up to $25 per hour Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and pediatric dental skills Monthly bonus opportunity when practice goals are achieved Practice Environment Established pediatric practice Two providers Approximately six team members Four operatories PPO, HMO, and fee-for-service patient base Innovative, stable, people-oriented, and team-focused culture Detail-oriented and committed to excellent patient outcomes Responsibilities Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance Prepare children and their parents for dental procedures Help young patients feel safe, calm, and comfortable Use age-appropriate language to explain procedures Assist with pediatric crowns and bridges, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, and composite fillings Assist during monthly anesthesia cases within the RDA's licensed scope Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs Capture digital impressions using an iTero scanner Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Eaglesoft Turn over treatment rooms thoroughly and efficiently Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control protocols Provide parents with postoperative instructions as directed Monitor clinical supplies and restock treatment areas Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety requirements Communicate professionally with providers, parents, patients, and team members Practice Software and Technology Eaglesoft Weave PanoSeph imaging iTero digital scanner 3M Scotchbond This opportunity is ideal for an RDA who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to join a supportive, growth-oriented pediatric dental team. Requirements Active California Registered Dental Assistant license Current dental radiology certification Current CPR/BLS certification Coronal polishing certification Sealant certification, if applicable Previous pediatric dental assisting experience preferred Experience assisting with stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, composite fillings, and pediatric restorative procedures preferred Eaglesoft experience preferred Comfortable assisting with young children and patients who may be fearful or anxious Excellent communication and behavior-management skills Dependable, energetic, compassionate, and team-oriented Ability to remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced pediatric practice Willing and able to work the extended anesthesia schedule one Wednesday per month Benefits Medical insurance contribution Practice contributes 50% of the medical premium, subject to a $2,250 maximum Holiday pay for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day
