Medical scheduling Attention to detail Full Job Description Dental Receptionist / Dental Assistant Floater - Full-TimeOverview Our established, patient-centered dental practice in Milpitas, CA is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Full-Time Dental Receptionist / Dental Assistant Floater to join our team. No prior dental experience is required! We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for both front office and clinical dental assisting duties . We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and wants to build a career in the dental field. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, organized, reliable, and comfortable learning new responsibilities. You will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while helping our office run smoothly. Schedule Full-Time Monday - Friday No weekends Consistent weekday schedule Responsibilities Front Office / Reception Greet and check in patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Answer phone calls and respond to patient questions and inquiries Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Verify insurance information and assist with billing and payment processes Communicate with patients regarding appointments, treatment, and follow-up Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Assist with general administrative and front office duties Dental Assisting Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures Assist with restorative, preventive, cosmetic, and other dental procedures as needed Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment environment Take and process digital dental X-rays as training and certification allow Assist with operatory cleanup and turnover between patients Provide patients with basic oral hygiene and post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and all applicable infection control protocols Monitor dental supplies and assist with inventory and ordering Qualifications No prior dental experience required — comprehensive on-the-job training provided Friendly, professional, and positive attitude Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to type accurately and efficiently Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Dental office, dental assisting, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. A California dental X-ray certification is a plus but not required to apply .
