This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, assisting with patient treatments, managing dental procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments efficiently. Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging technology like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring patient safety and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems, documenting vital signs, medical history, and treatment details with precision. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and maintaining a welcoming environment for pediatric patients. Follow strict infection control procedures including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection prevention standards. Requirements Prior experience is highly preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as carestack Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling and record keeping. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively. Strong understanding of infection prevention management practices including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members as part of four-handed dentistry practices and support patient care initiatives. Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a plus.
