Job Description
Redwood Smiles / Image Orthodontics is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our dental professionals, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. Paid Time Off and Holidays Retirement Savings Plan Employees discounts on orthodontic treatment Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other treatments. Prepare and organize the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready and sterile. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with established protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of hazardous waste. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment care. Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking dental supplies. Support administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) in California CPR and First Aid certification required. Coronal Polishing certificate highly preferred Previous experience in a dental office setting is a plus but not required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
