You will assist in various orthodonitc procedures, support our dentists, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients. What you'll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take X-rays and perform dental imaging as needed while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records Provide chairside assistance during various orthodonitc treatments. Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices, enhancing their understanding of dental terminology. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Basic qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting with a solid understanding of dental terminology. Familiarity with medical coding, medical records management, and medical documentation processes. Preferred qualifications Experience with 3D scanners and advanced imaging technologies. Knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry and infection control practices. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting, particularly in orthodontics.
