Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and orthodontic equipment, including 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines Assist orthodontists during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings using four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to infection prevention management policies and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions related to oral health and orthodontic treatments Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times Support patient management through scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and managing patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with a focus on orthodontics or pediatric dentistry is highly preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Dolphin for managing medical documentation and records Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices Hands-on experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanning technology Familiarity with infection control standards specific to healthcare environments and dental sterilization procedures Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies in a fast-paced environment Join us in delivering exceptional orthodontic care with energy, precision, and compassion. Pay:
$24.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 24.0 per week
