Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray equipment while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records using patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document medical histories, vital signs, and treatment details accurately in medical documentation systems. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handling inquiries with professionalism as a dental receptionist. Follow strict infection control protocols including aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination during clinical procedures. Assist with dental instrument processing to ensure all tools are properly sterilized and ready for use in four-handed dentistry practices. Maintain knowledge of anatomy and dental equipment to support efficient clinical operations and ensure high-quality service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and healthcare infection prevention practices. Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, general dentistry procedures, pediatric dentistry techniques, oral surgery protocols, endodontics, prosthodontics, and anatomy knowledge. Skilled in chairside assisting with proficiency in handling dental instruments and equipment efficiently. Experience with medical imaging tools like 3D scanners is a plus. Excellent communication skills to support patient management and team collaboration. Certification in Dental Assisting preferred; ongoing training in infection prevention management is advantageous.
Pay:
