Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry by providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while ensuring proper use of dental imaging technology and adherence to radiation safety protocols. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical documentation, recording vital signs, and ensuring accurate medical coding for billing purposes. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information using secure PMS (practice management systems) . Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental wellness. Support the dental team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments using patient management software and coordinating with the dental receptionist to optimize clinic operations. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and clinical procedures. Ability to grasp new practice management software for managing patient records efficiently. Strong understanding of infection control protocols including aseptic technique, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, intraoral scanner, and other dental imaging tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for patient management and team collaboration; previous experience in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a plus. Knowledge of dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting to enhance procedural efficiency. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
