Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during various treatments, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing necessary tools and support. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and coordinate with the dental reception team for appointment scheduling and patient management software updates. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain procedures using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring infection control standards are strictly followed. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, dental instrument processing, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following safety protocols; experience with dental x-ray technology is preferred. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control expertise. Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients of all ages including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Certification in CPR/BLS is required; additional certifications related to oral surgery or endodontics are a plus. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and proficiency in medical terminology for accurate documentation.
