In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care, and ensure smooth workflow within the dental practice. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental assistants and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), operate 3D scanners, and perform vital signs assessments for patients of all ages Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices, including pediatric dentistry considerations Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient flow efficiently Qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Proficiency with Dentrix and Dexis is a plus Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with the dental team Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with patient privacy standards Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Dental Assistant and be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding oral healthcare!
