The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and helping ensure smooth daily operations. Spanish fluency is preferred for this position, as you will regularly communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and families. Prior dental assisting experience is preferred. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Provide professional and compassionate patient care throughout appointments. Take dental X-rays and assist with 3D scans when applicable, following proper safety and infection control protocols. Accurately manage and update patient records using Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend . Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations and office privacy policies. Record patient vital signs and medical history information accurately before procedures. Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral health care, treatment instructions, and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment using proper aseptic techniques and infection control procedures. Assist with patient flow and help keep the schedule running efficiently. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing documentation as needed. Communicate effectively with patients and team members in both English and Spanish. Skills & Qualifications Spanish speaking ability. Previous dental assisting experience. Experience with Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Familiarity with dental X-ray procedures and dental imaging. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices. Understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is a plus. Ability to perform chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, reliable, professional, and patient-focused. Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team. Willingness to learn and develop new clinical skills.
