Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a dental assistant where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the clinical team. In this multifaceted role, you will manage patient interactions primarily chairside and secondarily at the front desk. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional patient care, and adherence to all safety and privacy standards. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, friendly dental practice dedicated to delivering top-quality care. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Our office uses Eaglesoft; Experience with Eaglesoft is preferred but not required. Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, ensuring accurate collection of vital signs and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and providing chairside support in four-handed dentistry setups. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), make alginate impressions, operate 3D scanners, and perform basic medical imaging tasks to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing equipment, managing dental supplies, and ensuring a clean clinical environment aligned with OSHA standards. Support clinical staff with medical documentation, coding procedures for billing purposes, and updating patient records accurately within Epic or other EMR platforms. Handle administrative duties such as answering phones as a dental receptionist, managing appointment reminders, and coordinating patient flow for general dentistry and specialized services like prosthodontics or endodontics. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with dental assisting tasks including chairside support, taking vital signs, X-ray operation, and medical imaging. Ability to communicate clearly using medical terminology and maintain HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. We are looking for someone who can work the following days and hours: Tuesdays 9:30a-6:30p Wednesdays 8a-4p Thank you!
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
