Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining a smooth clinical workflow. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients while upholding our commitment to excellence in dental health services. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-ray images using dental x-ray equipment and 3D scanners, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety measures. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs during procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and answer questions related to dental terminology and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control standards such as aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks including patient management software updates, scheduling appointments, and acting as a liaison between patients and the dental reception team. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Endovision software. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies. Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization techniques, infection prevention management, and aseptic technique. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry and oral surgery procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly while demonstrating professionalism. Certification in Dental Radiography or X-ray certification preferred; certification in healthcare infection prevention is a plus.
