Schedule:
4 days a week No Saturdays Day shift (Tuesday and Wednesday, 8am-5pm. Thursday 8am-4pm. Mondays (8am-5pm) and Fridays (8am-1pm) alternate (one week we are Monday-Thursday then Tuesday through Friday the following week). Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient appointments. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and digital radiography systems while following infection prevention management protocols. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and documentation with integrity. Support infection control practices through proper dental sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and adherence to healthcare infection prevention standards. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize workflow efficiency and patient outcomes. Assist with dental equipment maintenance, including operation of dental x-ray units, intraoral scanner, endodontic tools, oral surgery instruments, and other clinical devices. Support the front desk by performing duties typical of a dental receptionist when needed—greeting patients, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and managing administrative tasks (presenting and checking treatment plans). Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant within a busy dental clinic environment. EDDA (Preferred) Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with patient management software is highly desirable. Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques including intraoral imaging and 3D scanning technology. Knowledge of infection prevention management including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various procedures like oral surgery or endodontics while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and coordinate seamlessly with the dental team. Join us in creating healthier smiles!
