Job Description

•Job Overview•We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced general dentistry clinic on Mondays through Thursday and a half day on Friday. As a key member of our health care team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in providing top-notch customer service and contributing to the overall success of the practice. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences, we would love to hear from you. •Duties•Your duties would include, but are not limited to the following: Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Taking dental radiographs (x-rays when licensed to do so) Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling) teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth) Intra-oral scanning using Itero and Trios Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, endodontics and oral surgery •Experience•Must hold current Dental Assisting license, CPR certification, and Radiology certification. Prior experience with Eaglesoft, Zoom, Itero and Trios is highly desirable.
