Falmouth, MA Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold clinic safety standards. Prepare treatment rooms by organizing and setting up equipment for procedures. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and dental coding within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Taking digital radiographs. Assist in gathering additional clinical records such as impressions, intraoral 3D scans and digital photography. Assist in documenting clinical notes. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Support the administrative staff by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and handling medical records with confidentiality at all times. Help ensure a smooth patient experience Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Confident communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Certification in radiography, infection control and basic life support (BLS).
