Job Summary Haverhill Prime Dental is a family-owned dental practice serving patients in the Haverhill community. We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team and support our dentists and clinical staff in providing quality dental care. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, compassionate, and comfortable working in a busy dental office. This position provides an opportunity to work alongside an experienced dental team in a patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during dental examinations and procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments before patient appointments. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked operatories. Follow office infection-control, sterilization, and safety procedures. Prepare and arrange instruments and materials needed for procedures. Assist with patient positioning and comfort during treatment. Take and process dental X-rays when permitted by applicable training, certification, and regulations. Provide appropriate chairside assistance during restorative and general dental procedures. Help with room turnover and instrument sterilization between patients. Maintain accurate and organized clinical records as directed by the dental team. Communicate professionally and courteously with patients and team members. Help explain routine post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist. Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the day. Perform other clinical support duties appropriate to the Dental Assistant role. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is preferred. Dental assisting education or training preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and basic dental procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented. Professional and friendly manner with patients. Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team. Ability to follow infection-control and office safety procedures.
Pay:
$26.00 - $31.32 per hour
