What You'll Do Provide chairside assisting for a full range of general dentistry procedures Support multiple operatories simultaneously and keep the schedule moving Take and process digital radiographs Set up, break down, and turn over rooms efficiently Sterilize and maintain instruments per infection control protocol Take intraoral photos and impressions Educate patients on post-op instructions and home care Assist with inventory and supply ordering Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient care, and dental procedures, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to comprehensive dental care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient appointments. Take dental radiographs (X-ray images) while adhering to strict safety protocols and radiation guidelines. Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions or concerns professionally. Maintain infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental instruments and equipment. Ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with infection control policies at all times. Collaborate effectively with team members through four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Qualifications What We're Looking For Maryland radiology (x-ray) certification — required Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience — required Proven ability to support multiple rooms at once in a busy practice DSO or multi-doctor practice experience is a plus Strong communication skills and a genuinely warm chairside manner Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Join our team to deliver exceptional patient care through skilled assistance, innovative technology use, and unwavering commitment to clinical excellence!
Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
