Job Summary Join our dynamic high energy dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Open Dental software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and assisting with billing or insurance documentation as needed. Follow strict dental sterilization procedures for all instruments and maintain clinical cleanliness to uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards. Skills Proficiency with dental software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Experience operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and dental sterilization tools. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with infection control protocols aligned with healthcare standards to prevent cross-contamination. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
