Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, manage dental procedures efficiently, and ensure a welcoming environment for all patients. Your skills in dental technology, infection control, and patient management will contribute to delivering top-quality general and oral surgery services. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics, ensuring smooth clinical flow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems through Dentrix, and document treatment details accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients, ensuring comprehensive medical records are maintained securely. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures aligned with clinical confidentiality policies. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with patient management software and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and dental instrument processing. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to general dentistry and specialized fields like endodontics or oral surgery. Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools. Expertise in infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with patients, team members—including dental receptionists—and healthcare professionals while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
