You will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Pandora & Leipsic, Ohio Duties:
EFDA will provide chairside support for doctors for placing fillings, in addition to setting up and cleaning operatories, and patient education. (wage range 78k-86k )
Dental Assistant will provide chairside support for during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, simple oral surgery and prosthodontics, in addition to setting up and cleaning operatories, and patient education.
(wage range 45k-55k ) Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical records and Dentrix (will train if needed). Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients as needed, supporting comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive care strategies. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical and dental information with professionalism.
Experience:
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Hands-on experience with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health. Proficiency in operating dental equipment such as 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other medical imaging tools. Familiarity with patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, record keeping, and billing purposes. Understanding of infection control standards including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ability to handle dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to strict infection prevention policies.
