Overview We are excited to announce an opening for a Lead Dental Assistant at our new, state-of-the-art dental office. As a pivotal member of our team, you will coordinate daily operations, support dental procedures, and foster a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Your expertise in dental assisting combined with leadership skills will help set the foundation for a successful practice dedicated to providing outstanding general dentistry and specialized services such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Duties Lead and supervise the dental assisting team, ensuring smooth daily clinic operations and high-quality patient care Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Manage patient flow efficiently using patient management software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention management protocols, sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and clinical confidentiality policies Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and equipment such as 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other advanced dental technology Conduct chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize procedure efficiency and patient comfort Oversee medical documentation including medical records, vital signs, X-ray images, and medical imaging reports while maintaining accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and clinical procedures Demonstrated leadership ability in a fast-paced dental environment or previous experience as a Lead Dental Assistant preferred Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft along with familiarity with patient management software Expertise in infection control practices including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures is highly desirable Certification in X-ray technology and radiography required; additional certifications in medical documentation or healthcare infection prevention are advantageous Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the clinical team and provide outstanding patient care Join us to lead a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional dental services while fostering a positive patient experience. Pay:
$26.17 - $35.00 per hour
